Microsoft Endpoint, Formerly Intune, Then and Now
Friday Mar 12, 2021

Microsoft recently renamed Intune to Microsoft Endpoint Manager. This reflects Microsoft's strategy to promote and enhance this tool for use not only as a MDM platform, but to replace SCCM to manage PCs. In this podcast, the moderator will ask the two speakers to tell a little bit about past experience with Intune, what has changed, where is Endpoint Manager in its lifecycle and how would you go about implementing and using this. In addition, they will discuss is this something that your average I.T. admin could set up, deploy and maintain, or would one engage a 3rd party for setup and what are the obstacles?Moderator:@Mark Manoukian - IT Director, Kegler, Brown, Hill & RitterSpeakers:@Chris Owens - Chief Technology Officer, Kraft Kennedy, Inc.@Scott Christensen - Vice President, Professional Services, Olenick

Tuesday Sep 29, 2020
When there is a new innovative idea, you want to champion it and deliver on it as fast as possible, but in a responsible way. In this podcast, we will discuss what are some best practices for keeping stakeholders engaged while meeting firm governance standards and security requirements.
Questions from Dan to Nikki: -What methods do you use to solicit ideas? -How do you vet a pie in the sky idea vs. something practical, especially when it may be something deep in the weeds of a legal practice? (Relatedly, how do determine if an innovative idea is one attorney’s dream but not universal?)-When do different stakeholder groups get involved in the project? Are ideas vetted through risk, information governance, finance, etc. before they are PoC’d?-How do you productize your innovative projects?Moderator:@Daniel Pratt, IT Business Relationships Manager, Holland & Knight LLP

Asking the Right Questions
Thursday Jan 03, 2019
Thursday Jan 03, 2019
I’ve always been known as the “What About?” person. Through my days as IT Director of a law firm, managing the law department of a global life insurance company, working with many IT Leaders across the legal industry in my work at ILTA, and now as legal strategist at an IT services and consulting firm (Olenick), I’ve been the one asking “Why?” and “Why Not?” Being inquisitive has helped me fill in context and lead successful, creative problem-solving projects. I’ve honed my provocative questioning skills over time, and now I share ideas on how to ask the right questions, at the right time, of the right people, and in doing so, help lead your legal organization into a successful future.

Benefits Beyond Benefits - Building an Innovative Culture Can Rival Compensation
Thursday Jan 03, 2019
Thursday Jan 03, 2019
In this day and age, compensation alone, is no longer enough to attract and retain top talent. I’ve noticed this first hand in the eDiscovery market. I speak to ten plus candidates in a given day and I always ask the question, “What is most important to you in a new role?” Ten years ago, that answer was usually in the world of money, or benefits, but today, about 80% of individuals I speak to are answering that question with something related to culture. To be clear, this does not mean that organizations are able to pay under market, it simply means that they must build an offering beyond compensation in order to remain competitive and win top talent. The companies in the eDiscovery space that are most successful in attracting top talent are offering innovative cultures as their weapon against compensation warfare.
