Description: In this episode of Security Talk, a special guest joins Jon and Greg to talk about ransomware and how to avoid it.Speakers:Jon Washburn, the National Manager of Technical Operations at Stoel Rives LLP, also serves as the firm's acting Security Officer. He has spent the last 20 years in information technology, championing security projects in the legal industry for over 10 years. Jon is a member of ILTA's LegalSEC Council, volunteers his time with the Washington County (OR) Sheriff's Office on public safety projects and serves as a board member of the WCSO Foundation. He is happily married (with one adopted cat), and spends as much of his free time as possible on the beautiful Oregon coast.Gregory Hunts, the Enterprise Applications Administrator at Stoel Rives LLP, has been working in the computer industry for 30 years. He has been with the firm for nearly 24 years, holding several different positions during that time. Greg is interested in just about everything related to computer technology, including human-computer interfaces, AI, cloud computing and manipulating Linux and open source software. When he is not working, he enjoys golfing with his wife, hiking in the great Northwest with their dog and pretending to manage a farm in La Center, Washington.
